RoundthornSchool Meals
At Roundthorn we believe that children should have a healthy meal during the day. This helps them to be focussed and concentrate in lessons.
If you would like your child to have a school meal you will need to let the school office know. Payment is via Parent Pay.
We recommend that your child tries a school meal. Our kitchen team work hard to prepare quality hot meals and are aware of what children like and don't like. Sandwiches, jacket potatoes and salad are available each day. Our kitchen team are alert to and cater for children who have allergies so please discuss your child's needs and we will do our very best to accommodate them.
If your child does not want a school meal then you can send in a packed lunch. Please make sure that your child has a healthy meal. No sweets or hot food please!
We are unable to reheat food for children.
Free School Meals
All Reception and Key Stage One (Y1 and Y2) children are entitled to a Free School Meal. This is sometimes called 'Universal Free School Meals.'
You may also be entitled to free school meals for Key Stage Two (Y3-Y6) children through applying on the following website.
All parents can complete the application below as this may provide further support for your child in school through pupil premium funding.
